Wayne was first introduced to square dancing at age 17 and danced for several years before becoming a caller. He has been calling square dances since 1991. Dancers are always surprised and delighted when Wayne joins them in their square while calling.
Wayne has attended caller college at Sturbridge, Massachusetts, and at the Heart of America Callers College in Kansas City, Missouri. He is a member of Caller Lab and was recently invited to join Grand Squares, Inc., a non-profit foundation dedicated to promoting square dancing.
Wayne's home base is Arab, Alabama. In addition to Alabama, he has called in several states, including Michigan, California, Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. He has also called Internationally on two Caribbean cruises.
